“No Specific Credible Threat” of N. Korea Attack: State Dept.

The U.S. had "no specific credible threat information that lends credence" to recent threats from North Korea, a State Department spokesperson said Monday. But the spokesperson urged North Korea to "exercise restraint" and "refrain from any further threatening actions" after Pyongyang once again aimed heated rhetoric at the U.S., which maintained that North Korea was behind a wide-reaching cyber attack on Sony. "The government of North Korea has a long history of denying responsibility for destructive and provocative actions," the State Department spokesperson said.
