Schools Scold Pakistani Activist With “I Am Not Malala” Day

Teachers at the All Pakistan Private School Federation, which claims to represent almost 200,000 schools, held an "I am not Malala" day on Monday to reproach Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai for what they described as anti-Pakistan and anti-Islam views, NBC News reported. Yousafzai gained international prominence after being shot in the head by Taliban militants who objected to her educational activism, but she has also attracted hostility from her home country. "She has criticized Pakistan's ideology, its religion, and its constitution," the federation's president told NBC News.
