Detectives Searching for Missing Man, Baby Girl Last Seen in Bellflower

Sheriff's detectives requested public help Monday to find a 30-year-old Northern California man suffering from depression who was last seen with his 8-month daughter driving in Bellflower.

Alexander Echeverria was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on Friday in Bellflower, the sheriff's department said. Echeverria was driving a gray 2014 VW Jetta, with California plate number 7FFT866.

Echeverria suffers from depression and his family is worried about the safety of his child and him, according to the sheriff's department.

Echeverria stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, the department said.

Detectives did not say whether the search for Echeverria and the 8-month-old baby girl was related to a dead baby girl found in Bellflower Monday morning.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts was asked call the sheriff's department at 323-890-5500 or 911. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
