Student Suffers Minor Injuries From Chemical Reaction At UCLA Science Lab

A student suffered minor lacerations Tuesday night as a result of a chemical reaction in a laboratory at a science building at UCLA.

Firefighters responded about 9:10 p.m. to the location, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The student walked outside and was rinsed off by rescuers and found to be in good condition before she was taken to a hospital, Humphrey said.

There was no spill and no need for formal evacuations, according to Humphrey.
