Transportation Security Administration agents at a Wisconsin airport saved a dog from a ruff day after it was left inside a backpack during a routine x-ray scan.
According to a tweet from the TSA Great Lakes division, the bizarre discovery took place at the Dane County Regional Airport in December, when the dog was "accidentally" left in the backpack by its owner during a security scan.
In the tweet, the agency reminded flyers to the rules of traveling with a pet, which include notifying the airline of the four-legged companion, removing the pet from its carrier and sending the empty bag through the X-ray machine.

TSA's security procedures do not prohibit you from bringing your fluffy companion on a flight, but the agency does recommend special crates for them.
This comes a week after a cat was found in a suitcase at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
