U.S. and France Launch Airstrikes Against ISIS

The U.S. and France carried out airstrikes against ISIS militants in Iraq on Thursday and Friday, hitting a boat on the Euphrates River resupplying ISIS fighters, among other targets, NBC News reported. The attacks came days after the Islamist group released a 56-minute propaganda film narrated by someone that appears to have a North American accent. On Friday, France became the first country to publicly join U.S. airstrikes against ISIS. As the U.S.-led coalition intensifies attacks on ISIS, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno warned Friday that it will become much harder to target and launch precision strikes against militants hiding among the Iraqi population.
