With the holiday season heating up, Wal-Mart has told managers at its roughly 5,000 U.S. stores that they can match prices with Amazon and other online retailers, NBC News reported. "About half of the stores were doing it anyway," said Greg Foran, the head of Wal-Mart's U.S. business. The move by Wal-Mart, the country's largest retailer, could be a big win for consumers, as other stores offer similar discounts to reel them in.
