A woman at a gas station was shot early Wednesday in Lancaster while a 1-year-old boy was in the rear seat of her car.
The woman in her 30s was shot multiple times, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. She was hospitalized, but details about her condition were not immediately available.
The 1-year-old boy was not injured. He was in a car seat in the rear seat of the car at the time of the shooting.
Video showed a sheriff's department deputy playing with the toddler and watching after him following the shooting.
Initial reports indicated the boy was 3. The sheriff's department later said he is 1 year old.
Three people were arrested in connection with the shooting at a Mobil station in the 800 block of East Avenue I. A preliminary investigation determined the woman was the victim of a robbery by two men and one woman in their 20s, the department said.

Detectives identified the three suspects and located them in Anaheim, according to the department After a short pursuit, they were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, the department reported.
