Mothers of Americans Jailed in Iran Prepare for Lonely Sunday

Mothers of three American hikers jailed in Iran are preparing to spend a tough Mother's Day without their sons and daughter.

Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd and Josh Fattal have been jailed since last July. That's when their families say the three unintentionally strayed over the border while hiking in Iraq.

All three are graduates of the University of California, Berkeley.

Six restaurants in Pine City, Minn. -- home to Bauer's mother, Cindy Hickey -- will donate part of their Mother's Day weekend proceeds to the families' Free The Hikers campaign. Hickey and Nora Shourd, Sarah's mother, said they're gratified by the show of support.

The mothers flew to New York in hopes of meeting with Iran's president, who was at the United Nations, but didn't get to see him. And their promised visas to visit their children in prison in Iran haven't been granted.
