Obama's SF Plans Change as Giants Play Game 5

Go anywhere near AT&T Park today and you will be bathed in an orange and black glow.

Tonight the Giants play game 5 against the Phillies. A win would mean a trip to the World Series.

President Barack Obama picked a wild time to come to town for a fundraising trip. Air Force One lands at San Francisco International Airport this afternoon. But the trip is taking a detour south now. Instead of a $30,000-a-head event over on Market Street at the apartment of a Google executive, the pricey party will take place at a Palo Alto home.

Obama will also be attending a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee in Atherton. He'll wrap up his Bay Area visit with a photo-op fundraiser for San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris. She is running for state Attorney General.

Giants fans say that despite Obama being a White Sox fan, he is certainly welcome to come join the bandwagon at AT&T Park. They believe he may even keep an ear to the game during his California visit.

Obama will be staying overnight in San Francisco and chances are good he'll at least catch a glimpse of some revelers if the Giants pull off a stunner tonight.
