Los Angeles City Council member Janice Hahn, 58, is a democrat running for Lieutenant Governor.
She has a strong pro-labor record and early support.
Hahn has been very critical of reduced funding for public education and is opposed to off-shore oil drilling.
She is the sister of former Mayor James Hahn, the daughter of former L.A. County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn and a former teacher.
