The California Highway Patrol said that 49er Al Netter was arrested for driving under the influence this week in San Jose.
The CHP said an officer pulled Netter over after he was seen weaving. This happened at 3 a.m. on Wednesday Feb. 20 near he intersection of Montaque Expressway and First Street.
The Press Democrat said he was cited for a having a blood alcohol count above the legal limit of .08.
The case is pending, while investigators await test results, according to the CHP.
The team released a statement Saturday saying it is aware of the case.
“The 49ers are aware of the recent matter involving Al Netter. We take these issues very seriously, but will reserve further comment at this time, as this is an ongoing legal matter. The organization will continue to gather the facts and monitor the developments closely."
