49ers Vernon Davis Takes Center Stage at Santana Row's Summer Fashion Show

People normally see San Francisco 49er Vernon Davis on the football field, but on Saturday, he was center stage on the catwalk for a charity benefit in the South Bay.

He was the headliner for Santana Row's annual Summer Fashion Show. The sold-out event featured popular summer looks from Santana Row shops.

The fashion show was also a benefit for the Vernon Davis Foundation for the Arts.

The athlete, artist, and philanthropist created the foundation to promote art education and art appreciation among youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This is the second year he has participated.

"Each and every year is beautiful. It's beautiful," Davis said. "You know, the wonderful thing about it is that it benefits something. It benefits my foundation, the Vernon Davis Foundation for the Arts, and I want to give a special thanks to Santana Row for putting it on. I mean without them, it wouldn't be possible."

Santana Row will host its annual Fall Fashion Show in September.
