Source: Anthony Davis on 49ers' Practice Field Sunday

Offensive lineman Anthony Davis was on the 49ers practice field Sunday morning as the team goes through its final practice before their season opener on Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams, a source told CSNBayArea.com.

Davis' status for Monday night was listed as "questionable" after he did not practice Saturday. The team described his absence as "not injury related."

Multiple sources told CSNBayArea.com on Saturday that Davis was considering retirement. Team officials and Davis were in contact throughout the day, sources said.

Davis moved from right tackle to right guard late in training camp and moved into the starting lineup while Trent Brown remained as the starter at right tackle.

Davis, 26, took a one-year hiatus from the NFL last season to allow his mind and body a chance to heal, he said. In 2014, Davis appeared in just seven games due to shoulder, hamstring and knee injuries, as well as a concussion. He was reinstated off the NFL's reserve/retired list and reported to training camp on time.
