Cain Continues Hot Streak

It can be argued that 57 games into the baseball season, Matt Cain is the Giants best pitcher.

Despite not having a flashy win/loss record, Cain continues to impress with great outing after great outing.  His latest start was another thing of beauty, leading the Giants to a 3-0 win over the Reds Tuesday night.  Cain had a complete game shutout in the hitters friendly Cincinnati ballpark, allowing just seven hits over nine innings.

Need more evidence of how good Cain has been lately?  How about Cain has a 0.26 ERA over his last four starts.  He also has three complete games in his last five starts.

The Giants have now won three straight games, and nine of their last 12 games.  They will try to stay hot against the Reds Wednesday night when Jonathan Sanchez takes the mound.
