Cal to Host Oregon in First College Football Game at Levi's Stadium

California is moving its home game against Oregon next season to the San Francisco 49ers' new stadium in Santa Clara.

The Niners and Cal announced Tuesday that the game played on Oct. 24 will be the first college game played at Levi's Stadium. The stadium is set to open next summer.

Cal is required to host a weeknight game every two years under the Pac-12 television contract and that can be problematic on campus where parking is limited. Athletic director Sandy Barbour says moving the game off-campus will allow the school more time to figure out the best way to accommodate those games.

Cal says moving the game could produce as much as $1 million in increased revenue compared to a home game on campus.
