Dennis Rodman, Harlem Globetrotters in North Korea

The Worm is on an unlikely trip to North Korea.

Only Rodman could go to North Korea.

Add the unlikeliest diplomatic trip to Dennis Rodman's confounding resume, as the NBA Hall of Famer touches down in North Korea for a goodwill tour.

Rodman, who earned the nickname "The Worm" during an eclectic career known for outlandish hairstyles, tattoos and piercings, arrived in Pyongyang on Tuesday, according to reports.

Kim Jong Un, the reclusive and repressive nation's young leader, is said to be a big basketball fan and remembers Rodman well from the 1990s-era Chicago Bulls, who who three titles with Rodman on the roster.

Rodman is in North Korea with three members of the Harlem Globetrotters and with Vice Media, who are filming a production to air on HBO in April, according to the Associated Press.

Rodman and the Globetrotters will play basketball and talk to Kim Jong Un, according to reports.
