Giants Fans' Next Quest: Tickets

Hottest ticket in town is a tough ticket to find

Giants fans are just about done basking in the glory of becoming the NL West champs.  Now they want tickets.

StubHub reports that over the past 24 hours, tickets for this week's games at AT&T are the top selling item on its site.  That means more people are searching for Giants tickets more than any other sporting or entertainment event in the entire country.

As of 5 p.m. Monday StubHub had 2,800 tickets available for Thursday's home opener against the Atlanta Braves.  Standing room only starts at $85 a pop. There are 2,500 tickets up for Friday's game.

The San Francisco Giants say they don't have any tickets to either game.  Those were all sold more than a week ago in an online-only grab that lasted less than an hour.

Giants publicity director Shana Daum says the tickets for the next series, National League Championship Series, go on sale today at 3 p.m.  Daum quickly added, "if we are so fortunate to go."

They will be sold on a  first-come, first-served basis only through the Giants website, sfgiants.com/postseason or  by phone at 877-4-SFGTIX.

It's even tough to find a T-shirt or hat this "day after" the big game. The 2010 NL West Champion products are sold out in all Bay Area Giants stores. The Giants store at Valley Fair expects more T-shirts Tuesday and another hat order is due in Wednesday.

Both Thursday and Friday's games start at 6:37 p.m.  Thursday Tim Lincecum will take the hill.

Friday Bruce Bochy will give the ball to Matt Cain.
