Giants Bring Back Big Guns For Park Reunion

Barry Bonds has accepted a date with his old team at AT&T Park.

He might even don a jersey.

The former Giants slugger says he will be there for the 10th anniversary celebration of the team's 2000 NL West Championship.  It will also mark 10 years of the new ballpark.  Of course Bonds has given fans many of the big moments of the past decade. Most of them include a little something called a home run.

Barry may be the headline, but Giants fans are sure to like the list of the opening acts.  It gives fans the a high school reunion feel, but you don't have to worry about losing weight before the big day.

Here's who is coming:

  • Rich Aurilia
  • Marvin Bernard
  • Barry Bonds
  • Ellis Burks
  • Felipe Crespo
  • Bobby Estalella
  • Shawn Estes
  • Aaron Fultz
  • Mark Gardner
  • Jeff Kent
  • Ramon Martinez
  • Bill Mueller
  • Robb Nen
  • Armando Rios
  • Kirk Rueter
  • J.T. Snow

The party will be on the field ahead of Sunday's opening weekend series on April 11.

Next Sunday's appearance will not be the first for Bonds.  Since his departure in 2007, he has been back for a previous decade celebration and to recognize the death of one of the team's owners.

Lori Preuitt loves every 2000 Giant, except the one who didn't really wash his own truck.
