Gradkowski Will Start for Raiders

Its all-but official -- "Bruce Almighty" has beaten out "Jason Alright-y" for the Oakland Raiders' quarterback job. Bruce Gradkowski will start for the Raiders Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

The NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora got the scoop just after 11 a.m. PDT, attributing his information to "a source with knowledge of the situation."

Raiders coach Tom Cable has yet to officially acknowledge the move, and declined to name his starting quarterback in a conference call Wednesday morning with Arizona reporters.

But the NFL Network report has a strong corroboration -- Raiders' offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, widely considered to be Al Davis' favorite assistant coach, just publicly took credit for yanking Jason Campbell. "Hue Jackson meets media," the Oakland Tribune's Jerry McDonald tweeted Wednesday morning, "says switching quarterbacks last week was his idea."

This is the consecutive second year that "Mr. League Minimum Salary" Bruce Gradkowski has wrestled the starting job away from a multiple million-dollar Raiders quarterback. Gradkowski started four games for the Raiders last season and won two.
