Holy Horsies! Tebow May Start vs. Raiders

The Broncos will slog onto this Sunday's sloppy sod at the Oakland Coliseum and face the Oakland Raiders with not only an interim coach, but possibly also awkward novelty rookie Tim Tebow making his first-ever start as an NFL quarterback.

Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post reports that Denver's No. 1 quarterback Kyle Orton missed his second consecutive full practice Thursday with bruised ribs, and Tebow again took all practice reps. This poses a better-than-even chance that Tebow would end up starting Sunday against the Raiders.

What, no Brady Quinn?

Tebow has one completion on one attempt for a three-yard touchdown on the season so far. He typically runs with the ball instead, because he throws funky.

The Broncos, by the way, are now coached by their mid-season replacement coach -- ummm, hold on, let me check -- Eric Studesville.

Joe Kukura is a freelance writer who sees Tim Tebow as the kind of guy who would tackle his own mother.
