It's Chicago

Sharks fans got answer they have been waiting for.  We will play the Blackhawks for a right to compete in the Stanley Cup Finals.

A decisive 5-1 win put Chicago over the top in its hard-fought series with the Vancouver Canucks.

The teal in teal has home team advantage and will get to play Games 1 and 2 at The Tank. The best of seven series will begin Friday night or Sunday night.    The schedule won't be released until the Philly Pittsburgh series is in the books.

The Sharks will be well rested either way having won their series with Detroit back on Saturday night.  The Blackhawks, on the other hand, traveled home to Chicago late Tuesday and will have to make another flight to San Jose before the next round.

This is only the second time in the 19 year franchise history the Sharks have made it to the conference finals.

The San Francisco Bay Area is the second largest sports market in the country, but we haven't had a team get to this level in four long years.

We are still waiting to here if the games will be on this station, NBC or Versus.   Getting Chicago as a competitor helps our chances to get some national TV exposure.

If the Sharkies beat the Blackhawks, the team will advance to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time ever.
