Latrell Sprewell last Warriors All-Star in 1997

Warriors guard Monta Ellis has made a serious case for being the first Golden State representative at an NBA All-Star Game since Latrell Sprewell in 1997.

Ellis ranks third in the NBA in scoring while averaging nearly 26 points per game.

He’s also third in the league in steals, while additionally, leading all NBA players in minutes played.

He has scored 30-plus points in eight of the last 17 games of the season.

The NBA All-Star Game is Sunday, February 20 in Los Angeles.
