Game 6 of the ALCS was all Rangers all the time with a 6-1 win over the New York Yankees.
Texas Rangers Vladimir Guerrero's ground out to second allowed Elvis Andrus to score in the first inning to put the Rangers on the board during game six and got the ball rolling.
A wild pitch allowed Mitch Moreland to advance to third base during the third inning. It happened while the Yankees were pitching to walk Josh Hamilton who was up to bat. But the Yankees managed to get out of the inning without the Rangers scoring a run.
In the fifth, the Yankees Alex Rodriguez hit a line drive straight down the middle for a double. The Yankees tied it up after a curve ball pitch to Nick Swisher. On the replay, you could see the ball hit Swisher in the shin but the umpire ruled it fair allowing Rodriguez to score. Rangers manager Ron Washington and catcher Bengie Molina argued the wild pitch ruling to no avail.
The bottom of the fifth was all Texas Rangers as Guerrero's line drive to right field give him two RBI's. He brought Mitch Moreland and Josh Hamilton home for runs two and three. But the Rangers didn't stop there -- Nelson Cruz stepped up to the plate to fire a homerun, bringing Guerrero home and making the score 5-1, Texas Rangers.
Michael Young scored the sixth run for the Rangers in the bottom of the seventh, making the score 6-1.
The Rangers are one of only three teams to never play in a World Series, and the oldest franchise that has never appeared (other teams are Mariners and Nationals -- both younger franchises).

The Rangers will face either the San Francisco Giants or the Philadelphia Philles, who are still playing in the NLCS. Currently the Giants are up 3-2 in the series.
