Raiders Make QB Moves

One appealing suspension, another gets cut

Al Davis' latest, greatest "notice me" move of drafting controversial (and reportedly gifted) quarterback Terrelle Pryor is back in the news. Trent Edwards got the news on Saturday that he's off the Oakland Raiders squad.

Prior had not announced, before the draft, if he had accepted the fate of his NFL suspension for the first fuve games of the season. He's now decided to appeal that suspension. The NFL is disciplining Prior for his "transgressions in college," as the Pittsburgh Tribune Review put it.

Edwards is 27 and has been passed over by teams looking for a starter for two straight years now. Reportedly, the Kansas City Chiefs have showed interest in him in the past, but when he was available, they didn't make a move.
