Roger Craig First 49er Legend to Bid Adieu to Candlestick

Parade of 49er legends to Candlestick begins with Pro Bowl RB.

Fond memories of Candlestick Park can be made this week, as the first of a parade of 49ers legends pays a visit to the aging stadium in its final year on earth.

Roger Craig -- the four-time Pro Bowl running back who played a key role in the 1990 NFC Championship game -- is first up, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Craig will appear Thursday before the 49ers' preseason opener with the Denver Broncos, the newspaper reported.

He'll be an honorary captain, according to reports.

Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott and Dwight "The Catch" Clark are also expected to take the field to say hello to the fans -- and goodbye to the 'Stick.

The 49ers are expected to release a schedule of presenters at Thursday's game.
