Sharks Ice Installation Begins at Levi's Stadium

The home of the San Francisco 49ers is being transformed into the home of the San Jose Sharks.

A 53-foot trailer belonging to the National Hockey League is expected to arrive at  Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara Monday afternoon.

The so-called NHL Ice Plant, driven to the Bay Area from Toronto, contains all of the ice-making equipment needed to create an outdoor rink for the Sharks to face-off against division rivals Los Angeles Kings.

The NHL's 2015 Coors Light Stadium Series game between the Sharks and Kings takes place Feb. 21 and airs on the NBC Sports Network.
