Steffen Peters made his Olympic debut at the 1996 Atlanta Games, four years after becoming a US citizen. He earned the bronze medal along with his team. He's now making his fourth Olympic appearance at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Peters lives in Carmel Valley, California and trains at Arroyo Del Mar which he operates with his wife, Shannon. He'll be competing with Legolas. Those two won team and individual gold medals at the 2015 Pan American Games.
