“The Bus Left Me”: Giants Team Bus Leaves Bochy Behind At Dodger Stadium

Whoever was driving the San Francisco Giants team bus Friday after they beat their rival Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-5, must be a closet Dodgers fan.

Why? Well, apparently the driver didn't want the Giants to have perhaps their most important asset for Saturday's game.

"The bus left me," Giants manager Bruce Bochy told Fox Sports West Saturday, before his team took on San Francisco's NL West foe. "I thought it was like, 'Leave no troops behind.'"

With the Giants staying at LA Live, Bochy was forced to call a cab, though his shortstop tried to come to the skipper's rescue.

Stuck in a sea of fans donning Dodger blue outside of Dodger Stadium, Bochy was spotted by Brandon Crawford. The former UCLA shortstop wasn't staying at the team hotel, so Bochy didn't want him to go out of his way and elected for a cab ride instead.

After waiting for nearly 35 minutes and his cab driver having a difficult time spotting Bochy outside the stadium, he finally made it back to the hotel with $20 out of his wallet for the ride.

"And people think I have a glamorous job. And then I'm standing there outside the ballpark," Bochy joked on the incident.

The lost time being stranded outside his rival's stadium seemed to be no problem as the Giants took down the Dodgers, 6-2, on Saturday, to get within a half game of overtaking LA in first place of the NL West.

Three World Series rings in five years apparently won't get you too far in Dodger territory when you're sporting Giants black and orange.
