A's Outfielder Ramon Laureano Shows Shades of Willie Mays

Another day, another ridiculous play from A's center fielder Ramon Laureano.

With the A's down 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning against the Astros Wednesday in Houston, Laureano made perhaps the catch of the year. As the A's fight for first place in a battle with the Astros, Laureano flashed shades of Willie Mays.

The 24-year-old sprinted straight back to the wall in straightaway center field and hauled in an absurd basket catch before sliding on the warning track. Laureano then wound up and fired the ball from the wall to first base, nearly doubling off Astros catcher Max Stassi, once again showing off his rocket of an arm.

Laureano's catch saved a run, and the A's scored three runs in the next inning to take the lead. The candidate for catch of the year comes less than three weeks after Laureano made the throw of the year -- no debate needed.

To make matters even better, Laureano was traded by the Astros to the A's this offseason. Oh, the sweet taste of revenge.
