The A's seek to snap a five-game losing streak Tuesday night when they open a three-game series in Anaheim against the Los Angeles Angels.
A's outfielder Ramón Laureano enters the game riding a career-high 15-game hitting streak, one shy of the longest streak in the AL this season. Laureano is batting .344 during that stretch, raising his season average from .222 to .257.
The A's will run out the same lineup they've used the past few games, with Matt Chapman, Matt Olson, and Khris Davis hitting second, third, and fourth in the order. The Angels will be without slugger Albert Pujols, sliding catcher Jonathan Lucroy up to the cleanup spot.
Right-hander Frankie Montas will get the start for Oakland. The 26-year-old is trying to bounce back from his worst outing of the season last week against the Angels in Oakland. Montas lasted just four innings, allowing four earned runs on four hits and five walks. For the season, he is 6-2 with a 2.81 ERA.
The Angels will counter with young right-hander Griffin Canning. The 23-year-old is putting together an impressive rookie season, going 2-1 with a 3.06 ERA in six starts. Last week, Canning limited the A's to one run on three hits in six innings, striking out five.
Here are the full lineups for the A's-Angels game, which will be broadcast on NBC Sports California and streaming in the MyTeams app. Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. PT, with first pitch at 7:07.
