A's Vs. Angels Lineups: No. 3 Prospect Sean Murphy to Make MLB Debut

OAKLAND -- A's No. 3 prospect Sean Murphy will make his highly-anticipated MLB debut Wednesday night as Oakland hosts the Los Angeles Angels in game two of a three-game series.

Murphy, 24, slashed .308/.386/.625 with 10 home runs and 30 RBI in 31 games for Triple-A Las Vegas this season. He will start at catcher and bat eighth in the lineup.

Fellow rookie Sheldon Neuse returns to the Oakland lineup at second base and will hit ninth. The 24-year-old picked up his first career hit Sunday against the Yankees, notching a two-run double down the right-field line. Jurickson Profar moves from second base to left field and will hit seventh.

Right-hander Tanner Roark will be on the hill for the A's, trying to improve to 9-8 on the season. The 32-year-old is 2-1 since joining Oakland with a 3.30 ERA. In three career starts against the Angels, Roark is 0-1 with a 1.89 ERA.

Los Angeles counters with 22-year-old left-hander Patrick Sandoval. The rookie is 0-1 with a 5.24 ERA in five games, including four starts. This will be Sandoval's first time facing the A's.
