A's Vs. Giants Lineups: Madison Bumgarner, Brett Anderson Square Off

SAN FRANCISCO -- It will be a matchup of southpaws on International Lefthanders Day as the A's and Giants begin the Battle for the Bay Bridge Trophy at Oracle Park on Tuesday night.

Madison Bumgarner will be on the hill for San Francisco; Oakland will counter with Brett Anderson. Bumgarner, 30, is 7-7 with a 3.74 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in 25 starts this season. In seven career starts against the A's, he is 4-2 with a 4.81 ERA.

Anderson is 10-7 with a 3.99 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 23 starts this year. The 31-year-old is 2-4 with a 4.78 ERA in 10 career starts against the Giants. In seven starts at Oracle Park, he is just 1-4 with a 5.13 ERA.

With the game being played in a National League ballpark, A's designated hitter Khris Davis is out of the lineup, although he will be available to pinch-hit. Chad Pinder gets the start at second base and bats fifth, while Dustin Garneau will be behind the plate and hit eighth.
