A's Vs. Rangers Lineups: Khris Davis Moves Up After Dual Homer Night

The A's will take aim at their fifth straight win Saturday night as they take on the Texas Rangers in the second game of a three-game weekend series.

Oakland exploded for 14 runs on 14 hits in Friday's 14-9 victory. Now they'll turn the ball over to veteran right-hander Mike Fiers.

The 34-year-old is coming off his worst outing of the season, allowing five home runs and nine earned runs in just one inning against Houston. Still, Fiers enters Saturday's game with an impressive 14-4 record and 3.97 ERA in 30 starts this season.

Fiers has struggled against the Rangers throughout his career, going 3-3 with a 6.23 ERA in 11 appearances, including 10 starts. Those numbers are even worse in Texas, where he is 1-1 with an 8.76 ERA in five outings.

The Rangers will counter with 31-year-old Mike Minor. The left-hander is enjoying the best season of his career, going 13-8 with a 3.08 ERA in 29 starts. Minor is 2-2 with a 3.38 ERA in seven career appearances against the A's, including four starts.

Khris Davis moves up to the fifth spot in the order following his two-homer game Friday. Mark Canha will bat sixth.

Chad Pinder gets the start in left field and will hit seventh. Sheldon Neuse will handle second base and bat eighth, followed by catcher Josh Phegley hitting ninth.
