Andre Iguodala Has Surprising Reason Behind Favorite Oracle Arena Memory

The Oracle Arena era could very well be over.

On Friday night, the Toronto Raptors rolled over the Warriors in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, winning 105-92 to take a three-games-to-one series lead in the best-of-seven series.

With Friday night's loss potentially being the final NBA game in the famed Oakland arena, the Warriors and their fans are left with only their memories of Oracle as they hope the Dubs have enough left in the tank to bring the series back to The Town for one last moment.

Prior to Game 4, Andre Iguodala was asked about his favorite moment at Oracle, and his answer might surprise some.

"That's a tough one. That's a really good question," Iguodala told the media prior to the Warriors' Game 4 loss to the Raptors, via UPROXX. "First playoff series here was pretty exciting. It was pretty good. We hadn't priced out many people yet, so it was good."

Iguodala is referring to the Warriors' 2014 first-round NBA playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors lost Game 3 of that series at Oracle, but they won Games 4 and 6 before being eliminated in Game 7 at Staples Center.

After that run, the Warriors took a leap the next season and began their impressive dynastic run that could end Monday in Game 5 against the Raptors.

Following their 2015 NBA title and their 73-win season in 2015-16, the Warriors became the league's hottest ticket and the makeup of the Oracle Arena fan base began to change, leaving many die-hard fans out in the cold.

The Warriors will move across the Bay to Chase Center next season and the building will have a different legacy than the one they left behind, perhaps for good, Friday night when Kawhi Leonard struck another blow to the foundation of the NBA's bully by the Bay.

The lights were turned out at Oracle after the deflating Game 4 loss, and the chances of them being turned on to witness one final Oracle roar seems unlikely at this point.
