If he can produce as many touchdowns as he has headlines in 2019, Raiders star Antonio Brown would obliterate just about every NFL receiving record.
The unrelentingly controversial wideout has been active on Twitter all week -- first searching for a newer version of his unapproved helmet -- but his recent exchange with an NBA franchise might be even stranger.
.@AdamSchefter is this why you're here? pic.twitter.com/Oopd3jbmLX— Timberwolves (@Timberwolves) February 13, 2019
While Schefter was covering a Timberwolves-Rockets game in February, Brown posted an Instagram featuring a photoshopped AB donning a T-Wolves No. 84 jersey.
After reports surfaced that Brown was contemplating retirement over the denial of his request to use his old helmet, Minnesota took to Twitter with a subtle yet humorous recruiting pitch:
Sports
no helmets required here, @AB84
can't do anything about the frostbite tho. this is Minnesota 🥶 https://t.co/2pFMaTkAwF— Timberwolves (@Timberwolves) August 10, 2019
Brown responded Tuesday afternoon with a virtual embrace:
I love you been working on my shot https://t.co/O399T5zbaU— AB (@AB84) August 13, 2019

With all the stunning workout videos Brown posted this offseason, he's certainly in good enough shape to be an NBA player. However, his 5-foot-10 frame doesn't exactly lend itself to domination on the hardwood.
AB would be wise not to quit his day job, regardless of what headwear is required.
