A's Drop Fourth in a Row

The A's are experiencing the normal growing pains that every young team does...go on a win streak, then follow it up with a losing streak.  After gaining a little momentum, and winning seven straight games, the A's have now lost six of their last seven games.  The latest loss was a 5-4 heartbreaker in Los Angeles Tuesday night against the Dodgers.

The A's rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the eighth inning to take a 4-2 lead.  Jason Giambi gave Oakland the lead with a three run homer.  Bobby Crosby added a solo shot, and it looked like the A's would end their losing ways.  However, the Dodgers quickly scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth.

The game stayed tied into the bottom of the tenth, until Matt Kemp provided the game winner with a single off of Brad Ziegler that scored Orlando Hudson.  The A's will try to snap their four game losing streak Wednesday night, when Trevor Cahill faces the first place Dodgers.
