Oakland A's Fan Who Threw Telerobotic First Pitch Tosses One in Person

Sunday's first pitch at Oakland's O.co Coliseum brought a heartwarming story full circle.

15-year-old Oakland A's fan Nick Legrande tossed out the first pitch in person after throwing out the first ever telerobotic pitch last year from his hometown in Kansas City.

He was being treated for a rare blood disorder and could not be among crowds back then. That pitch was thrown remotely from the mound at the Coliseum.

Since that time, thanks to a successful bone marrow transplant, doctors have allowed him to travel--and that is why Nick made Sunday's first pitch in person.

The A's beat the Baltimore Orioles 10-2 Sunday afternoon.
