The NBA never sleeps.
Just before 11am on Thursday, the following surfaced on Twitter:
League Exec. Source, Boston and GSW in "Preliminary" trade talks for Klay. 2018-19 assets involved. Deal could be done early as tonight.— Boston Sports Report (@celtics18x) August 24, 2017
Less than 30 minutes later, another tweet:
The Warriors, when reached by NBC Sports Bay Area, denied the report and reiterated that the team is not shopping Klay Thompson.
Additionally, the Warriors referenced the article that NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole wrote on Wednesday.
The Cavs, when shopping Kyrie Irving, reportedly called Golden State to check in on Thompson's availability.
The Warriors were "uninterested."
Thompson -- who will turn 28 in February -- is under contract for two more seasons and is slated for unrestricted free agency in July 2019.
