Clock Strikes 2:47 as .247 Hitter Khris Davis Homers in A's Home Opener

Al Michaels asked it beautifully: "Do you believe in miracles?"

What I'm about to show you may not be a miracle, but it's a pretty amazing coincidence. 

The lovely people of MLB Network noticed something unique on Friday morning.

When Davis hit a home run in the bottom of the sixth during the team's home opener as the A's defeated the Angels, 4-0, they used a graphic -- but take a look at the bottom left at the clock:

So what does it mean?

Well, A's slugger Khris Davis is a man of consistency. He's hit a .247 batting average for four seasons in a row. (!) And guess what? He's projected to hit the same batting average in the 2019 season.

At the moment, with three games under his belt, he's hitting .231.

So now, we wait ...
