Collie Out, Manning on Fire as Colts Visit Raiders

Sounds like the Oakland Raiders may have just gained a slight advantage in this weekend's all-important home game against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts' reliable third-option receiver Austin Collie has been ruled out for the season with his third concussion of the year.

But the Oakland Raiders are still at a massive disadvantage. Peyton Manning has regained his MVP form after a supposedly off season, and the Colts have knocked off Tennessee and Jacksonville on successive Sundays. Both of those teams beat the 7-7 Raiders.

"Somebody asked me if I was in a slump, and I said, well, yes, maybe I was,’’ Manning told the NFL Network last week. “But I’d been on about an eight-and-a-half-year streak before that."

The Raiders need a victory, plus a Kansas City loss earlier in the day, to remain alive in the AFC playoff race.
