Giants Playoffs The Way It Should be Aired

Relive the Giants magic with the right voices calling the games.

OK Giants fans, you have a to do for tonight. Set your DVR or Tivo to Comcast SportsNet at 8 p.m. for a replay of Game 1 of the NLDS, in which Tim Lincecum struck out 14.

Someone at Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area came up with the brilliant idea to replay the entire playoff and World Series run, but instead of hearing the Fox announcers you will hear our beloved KNBR crew call the games.

The reruns will happen from tonight until Christmas Eve.

The games will be the same, but the commentary will be much much better for Giants fans.

Nothing against Joe Buck, but it couldn't have the thrill in his voice that Duane Kuiper, Mike Krukow, Jon Miller and Dave Flemming must have had for the radio audience.

CSNBA will show a total of six games. The World Series clincher will air on December 24, at 8:30 p.m.

Christmas Day Comcast will re-air the victory parade down Market Street at 3:30 p.m.

The fact that Comcast is about to buy NBC had no influence on Lori Preuitt's spin of this story. It really is a great idea.
