On Sunday night, DeMarcus Cousins was traded to New Orleans.
On Monday night, people in Sacramento held a "going-away-party" for the All-Star big man.
As Cousins addressed those in attendance, he got emotional:

"My love for this city will never change," Cousins started before getting choked up.

"I love this city ... even though I'm gone it will still be the same. Still looking out for these kids. Every family in this city matters to me ... everything's the same. I'm just not in a Kings uniform anymore...
"Thank you."
Soon after the video was posted to Twitter, Steph Curry issued a tweet of his own:

Curry and the Warriors host Cousins and the Pelicans on April 8.
The Kings play in New Orleans on March 31. Sacramento does not welcome the Pelicans again this season.
