Crwaford to Miss the Heat

For once, Jamal Crawford will take it easy on the Miami Heat. The Golden State guard missed the Warriors' game in Miami on Tuesday night with a strained left groin, adding to the team's significant injury woes. Golden State has already been without Monta Ellis (ankle), Corey Maggette (hamstring) and Stephen Jackson (left hand). Crawford strained the hamstring Monday in Orlando, but played nonetheless in the Warriors' loss to the Magic. He was still experiencing pain on Tuesday, prompting the decision to sit out. He has averaged 19.3 points in 15 games since being traded to the Warriors from the New York Knicks and does extremely well against the Heat. In Crawford's last eight games against Miami, he's averaged 27.9 points, including a 52-point outburst on Jan. 26, 2007, for the Knicks and a 40-point night earlier this month for the Warriors in a loss to the Heat.
