49ers Release Sixth-round Pick Taylor From Practice Squad, Add RB

The 49ers on Monday released sixth-round draft pick Kelvin Taylor from their 10-player practice squad.

The 49ers replaced Taylor with running back Raheem Mostert, who originally signed with Chip Kelly’s Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2015. He played his college ball at Purdue.

In his brief NFL career, Mostert has also been with Miami, Baltimore, Cleveland, the New York Jets and Chicago.

Taylor played his college ball at Florida. The son of former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Fred Taylor, Kelvin Taylor was among the 49ers’ final cuts before the start of the regular season. He was signed to the practice squad.
