The 49ers signed OL Colin Kelly to the team’s practice squad, the team announced on Tuesday.
In order to make room on the practice squad, the team has placed OL Fahn Cooper on the Practice Squad Injured List.
Kelly (6-5, 298) signed a reserve/future contract with San Francisco on January 7, 2016, spent training camp with the team and was released on September 3. He was signed to the Chicago Bears practice squad on September 26 and was released on November 10.
Cooper (6-5, 306) was originally drafted by the 49ers in the fifth round (174th overall) of this year’s NFL Draft. He was released on September 3, 2016, and was signed to the team’s practice squad the following day.
