Anthony Davis Remains Out of Practice

SANTA CLARA – Backup offensive tackle Anthony Davis was the only 49ers player who did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

Davis was diagnosed with a concussion after last Thursday's padded practice. He did not travel with his teammates to face the Carolina Panthers.

The 49ers return to action on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Davis has been spotted the past two days in the 49ers' weight room on a stationary bike during practice. Under the NFL's return-to-play protocol, Davis must remain symptom-free after light aerobic work and strength training before moving on to football-specific activities. A player must be a full participant in football activities with contact before being cleared to resume play.

Guard Andrew Tiller (ankle), nose tackle Mike Purcell (ankle) and safety Jaquiski Tartt (knee) were among the 49ers who were limited in practice on Wednesday.
