Bills Fire Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman

The Buffalo Bills fired offensive coordinator Greg Roman on Friday, the team announced.

Buffalo scored 31 points (seven points came from the defense) against the Jets on Thursday night, but lost 37-31.

In Week 1, the Bills fell to the Ravens 13-7.

Last year, Buffalo averaged 23.7 points per game (12th in the NFL), and racked up 360.9 yards per game (13th in the NFL).

Roman was the 49ers' offensive coordinator from 2011 through 2014.

The Bills promoted running backs coach Anthony Lynn to offensive coordinator.

Lynn interviewed for the 49ers' head coaching position in January.
