In Week 1, the Bills fell to the Ravens 13-7.

Roman was the 49ers' offensive coordinator from 2011 through 2014.

The Bills promoted running backs coach Anthony Lynn to offensive coordinator.

Lynn interviewed for the 49ers' head coaching position in January.
