Injury Report: 49ers CB Ward Expected to Return Vs Bucs

SANTA CLARA – Cornerback Jimmie Ward is set to make his return after missing three games with a right quadriceps strain.

Ward returned to full practice and confirmed he will play in the 49ers’ game Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ward practiced Wednesday at cornerback and nickel back.

Running back Carlos Hyde (shoulder) did not practice and will not play Sunday due to a shoulder injury.

Cornerback Rashard Robinson has yet to return to practice, as he goes through the NFL concussion return-to-play protocol. Robinson started the past three games in place of Ward, who sustained the injury while covering a kickoff against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3.

Guard Joshua Garnett (foot) and safety Jaquiski Tartt (quadriceps) were limited in practice.
