While Eagles head coach Doug Pederson refuted reports four days ago that his team was in talks with the 49ers for wide receiver Torrey Smith, the two sides may not be done talking.
With the Tuesday trade deadline approaching, talks between the 49ers and Eagles are "still not dead," according to ProFootballTalk.com.
On Wednesday, Pederson was asked about the rumors of a possible deal for Smith.
“There’s no legitimacy to that,” Pederson said. “And I’m thrilled with the guys we have and going to work with them every day.”
On Monday, a source told CSNBayArea.com that the 49ers are not shopping Smith.
